Creating Devo content

Date Fri, 12/19/2008 - 13:34 - jas category

Each day our BWO teams have a time of community worship and teaching. This is a key element to young people's spiritual formation. The basic breakdown would be:

  • Engaging worship
  • Training element for the day
  • Speaker/devotional
  • Small groups for reflection/pastoral care.

These sessions provide meaning and motivation for the day of service. A real priority.

So what to do with the Speaker/Devotional section and small groups? Here are some guidelines I work through in bringing this together.

FLV Player 2.0.24

Date Fri, 10/10/2008 - 09:37 - jas category

FLV Player is a tool to play Flash FLV and H.264 (MPEG-4) videos with.
This utility can come in handy when viewing many FLV and/or H.264
files, as it doesn't require the Adobe Flash IDE. The installer comes
with optional FLV file-association, so double clicking an FLV file
opens and plays the file in FLV Player. Version 2.0.24 adds support for
the newly added H.264 (MPEG-4) format in the Adobe Flash Player and
fixes bugs

Prayer Chains

category

Introduction

Prayer Chains are a crucial form of support. Prayer is where we acknowledge that this is God's work; we need God's power and involvement. Use prayer chains not just to communicate needs but also to thank God for great things. If each church involved in the event has a prayer chain this enables participation by many who may not be able to be physically present. It builds a greater sense of involvement by the church members and provides an invaluable support network.

What does a prayer chain look like?
