Foundations for your Big Week Out Project

Resources which may be useful to Project Managers in the preliminary planning phases are attached

Four stage process

The management of this Project is a four stage process

Foundation Stage: Foundational decisions made on values and methodology.
Preparation Stage: The extensive groundwork that needs to be in place for Big Week Out.
Execution Stage: The event itself
Review Stage: Celebration and review process – important for ongoing projects, communication with supporting churches and RTF team life.

Foundational Stage

Make your foundational decisions about your Supporting Churches, your goals, values, roles and logistics.

Objective Statement
An objective statement details your project objectives and how these
will be realised. This document should be completed then passed onto
relevant parties for agreement. Relevant parties include:

  • Supporting Churches and ministries;
  • your coordinating body, if you’re working with one.
  • Any other parties you believe need to understand these foundational decisions.

Pray for a balance of faith and wisdom as you go through this process.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:3)
“In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)

  • Objective Statement Worksheet: useful for core decisions on project
