About Big Week Out
Big Week Out (BWO) is an initiative of local churches. It is about young people putting faith into action by serving their community.
We believe in a Big God who demonstrates an awesome capacity to love and serve. We have experienced this love and service best through Jesus Christ.
Belief in Big Opportunities. We believe there are big opportunities in the world to demonstrate God’s kind of love and service.
Belief in making a Big Difference. We believe as we demonstrate God’s kind of love and service, radical changes come to the world we live in.
This makes for a Big Week Out.
BWO Spring 2010

Big Week Out is running in the West region in the spring holidays this year!
When: 28-30 September (1st week of holidays)
Where: Based at Ferryden Park Lutheran Church, with service events around the western suburbs.
You can register online now.
BWO will run in other regions at later dates, eg summer and winter 2011.

Big Week Out in January of 2009 saw almost 300 youth and young adults converge on the city of Adelaide with a week jam-packed full of various community service events.

The Big Week Out 2009 saw nearly 300 Particpants and Leaders reach out to their local communities across Adelaide.Here are some of the things people said about their Big Week Out experience:
- This week meant a lot to me because it actually gave me an opportunity to show how much God loves other people through me and funny enough someone called me a tooth fairy because they were surprised they got something for free
- Learning to let God take full control, learning to be proud of my faith and seeing enthusiasm for God in youth
- Time to learn about Jesus, help the community, get to know new people and have an awesome time, Big Week Out Rocks!
- This week has been so cool, I never thought serving could be so much fun. It has changed my whole look of life.
- Big Week Out has meant a lot, it was great to meet heaps of Christian youth and to serve with them. I recommend BWO to everyone!
